Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated volunteer Executive Director to lead 8by8 in its mission to empower AAPI communities through civic engagement. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on AAPI representation and combat anti-Asian hate at a critical time in our nation’s history.## Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and vision to advance 8by8’s mission and goals
Oversee the development and implementation of 8by8’s technology-driven voter registration initiatives
Build and maintain relationships with community partners, business leaders, and tech innovators
Lead fundraising efforts and manage the organization’s financial resources
Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of dedicated volunteers
Serve as the public face of 8by8, representing the organization in media appearances and at community events
Ensure the organization adheres to its core values of political participation, leadership development, and open-source culture
Qualifications
Demonstrated passion for AAPI rights, voter engagement, and social justice
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate volunteers
Experience in nonprofit management, community organizing, or political campaigns
Understanding of technology and its applications in civic engagement
Excellent communication and public speaking skills
Ability to build coalitions and work effectively with diverse stakeholders
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
Familiarity with AAPI communities and issues affecting them
