JOB SUMMARY
The Volunteer Engagement Manager is a high-energy relationship builder who inspires people to turn compassion into action. This role serves as the face of volunteer engagement, connecting individuals, schools, churches, corporations, and community groups to meaningful service opportunities that support Catholic Charities Dallas. Through creative outreach, community partnerships, volunteer recruitment, and exceptional stewardship, this position creates memorable volunteer experiences that expand our reach, strengthen our mission, and make a lasting impact across North Texas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention of volunteers and interns.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, universities, faith communities, corporations, and community partners to expand volunteer and internship opportunities.
- Serve as the primary ambassador for volunteerism at CCD through presentations, networking events, outreach, and community engagement activities.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase volunteer participation and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective volunteers and interns.
- Match volunteers and interns with meaningful opportunities that align their interests, skills, and passions with organizational needs.
- Design, develop, and enhance volunteer and internship programs that support CCD’s mission and operational goals.
- Collaborate with program leaders to assess volunteer needs and develop meaningful service opportunities across the organization.
- Establish and maintain best practices, policies, and procedures that promote effective volunteer management and a positive volunteer experience.
- Coordinate volunteer orientations, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Manage volunteer data, reporting, compliance requirements, and program metrics to support program effectiveness and decision-making.
- Monitor program outcomes, engagement trends, and volunteer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement volunteer recognition initiatives that celebrate contributions, milestones, and achievements and encourage continued involvement.
- Partner with Marketing and Communications to promote volunteer opportunities, highlight volunteer impact, and share success stories.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive culture where volunteers and interns feel valued, connected, and motivated to serve.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with and protection of clients.
- Complete required abuse prevention training (Safe Environment) and others, as required by program.
- Report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors.
- Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
- Adhere to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities.
- Adhere to procedures related to managing high risk activities and supervising clients, as applicable.
- Respond quickly and effectively to policy and procedure violations using the organization’s disciplinary procedures.
- Provide staff with regular feedback regarding abuse risk prevention and a healthy reporting culture.
- Ensure required abuse prevention practices are followed, and a healthy reporting culture is maintained.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Human Services, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in volunteer engagement, community relations, nonprofit leadership, program management, or a related field.
- Proven ability to build relationships, cultivate partnerships, and engage diverse audiences.
- Strong public speaking, communication, and presentation skills.
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
- Energetic, outgoing, and self-motivated with a genuine passion for community engagement and service.
- Ability to inspire others, build enthusiasm, and create memorable volunteer experiences.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
