Through gaming, community engagement, and philanthropy, we bring joy and critical resources to children in hospitals, foster care, and underserved communities worldwide.​

Role Overview: As a Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and expanding our volunteer base, focusing on both recruiting new volunteers and coordinating our Esports initiatives. This multifaceted position requires a dynamic individual passionate about gaming, community engagement, and making a positive impact on children’s lives.​

Key Responsibilities:

Recruiting Coordination:

Outreach & Recruitment: Promote volunteer opportunities across various platforms, manage recruitment events, and build relationships with community contacts to attract diverse candidates.​

Application & Interview Process: Screen applications, coordinate interviews, and communicate with candidates throughout the onboarding process.​

Onboarding Facilitation: Guide new volunteers through their initial steps, prepare orientation materials, and coordinate introductions to ensure seamless integration.​

Strategy & Policy Collaboration: Work with the team to refine recruiting strategies, update policies, and develop creative outreach initiatives.​

Esports Coordination:

Event Logistics & Operations: Assist in scheduling, setting up, and coordinating online gaming events. Monitor tournament progress, resolve scheduling conflicts, and communicate updates to participants.​

Sponsorship & Partner Coordination: Support sponsor activations and ensure brand commitments are met. Assist in communication with corporate partners, vendors, and stakeholders.​

Community & Social Engagement: Drive player engagement through Discord, social media, and email communication. Collect player feedback to improve future events.​

Compliance & Legal Requirements:

Adhere to Games for Love’s policies, code of conduct, and conflict-of-interest guidelines.​

Complete a background check (required for roles involving access to sensitive data).​

Maintain confidentiality of applicant and participant information and organizational records.​

Ensure all activities comply with local, state, and federal nonprofit regulations.​

Desired Skills & Experience:

1+ years of experience in recruiting, human resources, event coordination, esports management, or related fields (volunteer or professional).​

Strong organizational and communication skills.​

Experience with applicant tracking systems, recruitment tools, online gaming platforms, and tournament structures.​

Familiarity with community engagement and social media management.​

Passion for gaming and using esports for social good.​
