Position: Volunteer Coordinator at Fall for Dance
Lead volunteer efforts for the Fall for Dance North festival in Toronto. This hybrid role engages recruitment, training, and on-site management of volunteers during the festival.
As Volunteer Coordinator, you will oversee the recruitment, planning, training, and supervision of volunteers for the 2026 festival. Working closely with the General Manager and Senior Producer, you will ensure exceptional customer service as festival audiences are welcomed. Engage with approximately 75 volunteers, manage scheduling, and facilitate training sessions to promote smooth festival operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Recruit and welcome returning festival volunteers
• Conduct community outreach to attract new volunteers
• Manage the volunteer database and scheduling
• Facilitate training and orientation for all volunteers
• Support supervision during events and ensure compliance
Requirements:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking abilities
• Experience working independently and in teams
• Knowledge of Toronto’s downtown area is a plus
• Previous experience with volunteer database management
