Canyon Creek Services (CCS) is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead our volunteer and internship programs across Southern Utah. In this role, you’ll collaborate with our development team, engage with community partners, and empower volunteers who support our mission of serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Responsibilities
Recruit, screen, onboard, and support volunteers and interns
Coordinate volunteer training and ongoing development
Plan and lead appreciation initiatives and recognition efforts
Maintain volunteer records and scheduling using tools like Google Workspace and Volgistics
Collaborate with CCS staff to match volunteers to organizational needs
Ensure compliance with training, documentation, and grant requirements
Represent CCS at events, community presentations, and coalition meetings
Manage inventory and tabling/event supplies
Travel to various locations in Iron, Beaver, and Garfield Counties
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms, Gmail)
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
This is a full-time, in-person position based on a Monday-Friday, 9 am – 5 pm schedule, with occasional evening and weekend availability required for events and community engagement.
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Preferred
Experience with volunteer or internship coordination
Nonprofit or community engagement background
Experience working with diverse and underserved populations
Certifications (Required Within 6 Months Of Hire)
CCS Advocacy Training
CPR/First Aid Certification
40-Hour Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Advocate Certification (training provided)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Office-based and community-based work
Frequent use of computers and office equipment
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally (event materials)
Ability to travel throughout the service area
