Position: Volunteer: Community Oversight for Safer Streets & Equity
The City of Portland, Oregon, is seeking volunteers for the Focused Intervention Team Oversight Group (FITCOG) to help combat gun violence in the community. Ideal candidates advocate for racial equity and community involvement, possessing a unique perspective.
Members will commit to approximately 10 hours per month, attending meetings that alternate between virtual and in-person formats. The term lasts for 24 months, with possibilities for extension.
Interpreters and dinner will be provided during meetings. Interested individuals can apply through the online application process.
