Job Summary:
The Volunteer Communications & Technology Director plays a key role in shaping VPMMA’s brand, enhancing community engagement, and driving digital transformation. This volunteer role oversees marketing, public relations, content creation, website management, and technology integration, ensuring VPMMA’s message reaches the right audience and that internal systems run efficiently.

If you have a military background (veteran, active duty, spouse, or supporter) or experience in communications, digital marketing, or technology, this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact while growing your leadership skills.

Duties:

Lead Communications & Branding – Develop marketing strategies, manage social media, and create engaging content to elevate VPMMA’s presence.
Manage Digital Tools & Website – Oversee website updates, Google Workspace, and ensure seamless tech integration for volunteers and stakeholders.
Support Outreach & Fundraising – Collaborate with leadership to promote events, fundraising efforts, and program initiatives.
Enhance Cybersecurity & Data Privacy – Implement best practices to safeguard VPMMA’s digital platforms and information.
Measure & Improve Engagement – Track communication effectiveness and adjust strategies to maximize impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

Military affiliation (veteran, active duty, spouse, or supporter) strongly preferred
Experience in communications, marketing, public relations, or technology
Strong digital marketing and social media management skills
Familiarity with Google Workspace, website management, and cybersecurity best practices
Ability to lead teams, manage projects, and collaborate across departments

The Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA) is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting service members, veterans, and military spouses in advancing their careers in project management. Through mentorship, networking, and professional development, we help them transition successfully into the civilian workforce.
