Location: Remote & Shop in Lynnwood, WA
Hours: Part-time (10 – 20 hours/week), flexible schedule with some evening/weekend hours for events
Pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour
Reports to: Executive Director
About Clothes For Kids:
Clothes for Kids is a non-profit located in Lynnwood, WA. We have been providing high-quality school clothing to students at no cost to their families since 1984. Clothes for Kids serves students from Head Start/Early Childhood Education through 12th grade in all Snohomish County school districts and the Northshore School District in King County. We provide a retail-like environment where families shop for a school wardrobe including everything a child needs head to toe. Our operation is successful due to the dedication of a small staff and large volunteer base.

Job Title: Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator
The Volunteer & Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for building and sustaining volunteer engagement and community partnerships that support Clothes For Kids’ mission. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for volunteer recruitment, support in-kind clothing drives, and cultivate outreach relationships with local groups, schools, and businesses.
Primary Responsibilities:
Volunteer Management
Recruit and process volunteer applications
Schedule volunteer orientation with shop staff and volunteer leads
Maintain volunteer database
Plan and execute volunteer appreciation events alongside the volunteer committee
Schedule volunteer work parties
Community Outreach & Partnerships
Coordinate and promote local clothing drives
Build relationships with schools, businesses, service clubs, and faith communities
Represent Clothes For Kids at community events and tabling opportunities
Create outreach materials (flyers, emails, social media posts) for drives and engagement
Fundraising/Event Support
Support major fundraising events (e.g., auction, sidewalk sale) as needed
Encourage community groups and volunteers to attend and promote events
Communications
Works closely with the Program Coordinator to ensure volunteer success
Track and report on volunteer hours and outreach impact
Qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
1–2 years of experience in volunteer coordination or outreach
Comfortable leading groups and presenting to the public
Organized and detail-oriented with a passion for service
Must pass background check
Able to work some weekends and evenings as needed
