Salford Pride is a registered voluntary-led charitable organisation based in Salford. Founded in 2011, the organisation has been organising Salford’s annual LGBTQ+ pride celebration for thirteen years. In 2018, the organisation was renamed to Salford Pride with a focus on raising awareness, visibility, education, and promoting our diverse communities in Salford.
Role Description
This is a volunteer Trustee role at Salford Pride, with flexibility for remote working. The Trustee will be responsible for contributing to the governance and strategic direction of the organisation, attending board meetings, and actively participating in decision-making processes. Additionally, Trustees are expected to support fundraising efforts and promote the values and mission of Salford Pride.
Salford Pride are looking for a candidate with experience and skills within Marketing & Design, to lead our marketing team to guide the charity’s marketing strategy and brand awareness.

Marketing Expertise: Knowledge of digital marketing, branding, and content creation.
Communication Skills: Crafting clear, compelling messages for different audiences.
Creativity: Generating innovative marketing ideas and campaigns.
Nonprofit Sector Knowledge: Understanding ethical marketing in a charity context.
Data-Driven: Using analytics to improve marketing effectiveness.
Collaboration: Working with trustees, volunteers, and stakeholders.
Compliance: Ensuring legal and ethical marketing practices.
Candidates must have the ability to be able to take onboard constructive feedback from the Board. Trustees are expected to be able to contribute 6-8 hours per week and attend two meetings a month, one in person held in Salford and one online.
