VISTA Food Access Capacity Building Jobs in Laramie, Wyoming, USA at AmeriCorps & Senior Corps
Improve sustainable community access to regionally local fresh and healthy fruits and vegetables through increased food production and distribution in Albany County, Wyoming, with a particular emphasis on people living in poverty, children and elders, disenfranchised people, people in rural locations, and people living with disabilities and chronic illnesses.
Member Duties:
Review and become familiar with the history of community-led program development, participant involvement, and capacity building at FLV.
Create an improvement plan based on the report and work closely with other staff to manage, develop, and implement expanded and new food collection and distribution efforts.
Maintain, organize and broaden ongoing Shares logistics and data tracking to fit FLV guidelines and values.
Develop tools for outreach to current Feeding Laramie Valley Shares participants, including processing and monitoring participant sign-ups and inquiries.
Contribute to creating and delivering educational and outreach programs.
Enhance mechanisms for preparation, distribution, and supplying food as needed to participants.
Establish and implement sustainable volunteer training, supervision, andrecognition.
