Role Overview  Reporting to the Chief Development Officer and serving as a key member of the Foundation’s Executive Team, the Vice President, Philanthropy provides strategic leadership across all areas of individual giving, including mid-level, major, transformational, and legacy philanthropy. The role is responsible for driving significant and sustained revenue growth, overseeing a comprehensive donor pipeline, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional, personalized donor experiences.
The Vice President will lead a high-performing team accountable for substantial annual revenue, while also maintaining an active personal portfolio of top donors and prospects, with individual annual fundraising goals in excess of $15 million. Working in close partnership with the Chief Development Officer, President & CEO, Campaign Cabinet, and senior volunteers, the Vice President will play a central role in advancing campaign strategy—from quiet phase through to public launch—ensuring alignment with CAMH’s funding priorities and long‑term vision.

In doing so, this role will directly contribute to CAMH Foundation’s strategic ambition to grow and diversify philanthropic support, increase unrestricted revenue, and build a more inclusive and representative community of donors.
Qualifications   

A) A demonstrated track record of success in leading major and transformational fundraising efforts, including the ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward complex gifts at the seven- and eight-figure level within large-scale campaigns;
B) Significant experience leading integrated philanthropy functions within complex, mission-driven organizations, with the ability to align strategy, people, and performance to achieve ambitious revenue goals;
C) Deep expertise in the full lifecycle of individual giving—from pipeline development and prospect strategy to personalized stewardship—paired with the ability to translate institutional priorities into compelling cases for support;
D) Exceptional relationship-building capabilities, with the credibility and presence to engage and influence senior donors, volunteers, board members, and executive stakeholders, combined with strong judgment, strategic agility, and a collaborative leadership style.
Benefits  The expected salary range for this position is $180,000– $215,000 CAD per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
