Team Overview
As the VP of Major Gifts, you will report to the SVP of Development and oversee a focused portfolio of operations *****
Strategy and execution on all Major Ministry Friend (Donor) relationships
Multi-year campaign and project-based fundraising
Participation in events and public speaking engagements
Leading the major gift relationship fundraising team of 10+ Major Gift Officers
Managing a portfolio of 10-50 Major Ministry Friends
Key Responsibilities Management
Lead and develop a team of over 10 major gift officers to meet revenue goals for six- and seven-figure gifts.
Create and implement a multi-year engagement plan aligned with revenue growth strategies.
Collaborate with the CEO and SVP of Development to lead the team.
Set KPIs and ensure accountability, targeting 100+ six-figure gifts and 10+ seven-figure gifts annually.
Develop a high-net-worth prospect program with a $60M+ goal.
Oversee prospect development activities.
Equip the team with resources to present campaigns effectively.
Build relationships with key stakeholders to support development.
Establish departmental goals, policies, and processes.
Implement project management protocols and build strong partnerships.
Identify and strategize for six- and seven-figure gift pipelines, networking with high-net-worth individuals.
Engage executives and Ministry Friends in prospecting and closing gifts.
Develop tailored prospect strategies and proposals.
Collaborate with Legacy and Planned Giving teams to secure complex gifts.
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years in major gifts development in a large, multi-national organization.
7+ years of leadership and team management experience.
Experience leading a team with a $65MM+ major gifts portfolio.
Experience with in a nationwide or international organization.
Proven success in closing seven-figure gifts.
Willing to travel up to 75 nights per year.
Excellent communication skills to articulate ADF’s mission convincingly.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of fundraising best practices.
Passion for ADF’s mission.
