Position: Van Driver & Grate Patrol (5081)
The Salvation Army (Southern) – – Responsibilities:
Operates Salvation Army Grate Patrol program vehicle to transport meals, serve meals, transport volunteers, and occasionally distribute supplies to individuals who are homeless;
Provide evening transportation and serving of meals and/or transportation of volunteers to 5-6 stops in the downtown DC area to provide meals to individuals who are homeless;
Support efforts of Grate Patrol Social Services Manager to identify individuals in need of immediate assistance and/or in immediate crisis;
Provide guidance to volunteers on how to serve food in safe and sanitary manner;
Possibly distribute supplies to individuals who are homeless in Washington, DC
