Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented  US Not for Profit Auditor  with a focus on  grant testing  to
join our team
. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity of nonprofit organizations by conducting thorough audits of grant expenditures and compliance with funding requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial statements, a passion for serving the nonprofit sector, and the ability to communicate insights effectively.
In this role, you will analyze financial documents, assess internal controls, and provide recommendations for improvements to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including nonprofit management, board members, and funding agencies, to enhance financial processes and support the mission of the organizations we serve. Responsibilities
Conduct audits of grant expenditures for compliance with federal and state regulations
Evaluate financial statements and reporting practices of nonprofit organizations
Test internal controls related to grant management and reporting
Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management and stakeholders
Work closely with nonprofit organizations to address financial deficiencies and provide recommendations
Maintain knowledge of current regulations, best practices, and trends in nonprofit auditing
Support
training and development
efforts related to grant compliance for nonprofit staff
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing, preferably within the  nonprofit sector
Strong knowledge of grant management regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent
analytical skills
and
attention to detail
Exceptional verbal and written
communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
