Overview
Therapist – MSW / LCSW / LICSW / LMHC | Intake No-Show Compensation + Client Cancellation Protection Jobs in Watertown, MA at Watertown – Outpatient/Telehealth
Your clinical time matters—from the first intake through every ongoing session.
We are hiring compassionate, clinically driven therapists to join our growing outpatient team in Watertown, Massachusetts. This full-time hybrid opportunity is ideal for MSW graduates, LCSWs, LICSWs, LMHCs, and clinicians on an eligible Massachusetts licensure pathway who want steady referrals, meaningful clinical support, flexible scheduling, and the stability of W-2 employment.
Whether you are early in your post-graduate career, working toward independent licensure, newly licensed, or already independently licensed, you will have the structure, referrals, and clinical community to grow with confidence.
Compensation That Values Your Time
Intake No-Show Compensation: New-client intakes require preparation, reserved clinical time, and professional expertise. We compensate clinicians when a scheduled intake client does not attend.
Client Cancellation Protection: Your time matters beyond the first appointment. We provide protection for scheduled ongoing therapy sessions when established clients cancel or do not attend.
Guaranteed compensation while you ramp up: Your first weeks are designed to build confidence—not financial uncertainty. You receive paid training and guaranteed compensation while we strategically build your caseload with clients from our active referral pipeline.
A Caseload Built for You
You will not be expected to find your own clients or build a private-practice referral network from scratch. We have a strong, consistent flow of referrals and an internal team that manages the logistics behind them.
During orientation and your initial ramp-up, you will receive paid training while your caseload is intentionally developed. Your Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director will consider your graduate internship background, experience, clinical interests, comfort level, language skills, and professional goals when making referrals.
You will receive approximately 5–6 new clients each week as your schedule is built. This creates a thoughtful path toward a regular weekly clinical practice of 25 client sessions, with the opportunity to see additional clients if you choose.
The referral flow does not stop once your initial caseload is established. Your Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director continue to strategically assign appropriate new-client intakes as availability develops and as your clinical interests, capacity, and goals evolve.

Training and Clinical Support
Your clinical development is part of the role from day one—and it continues throughout your career with us.

Early-career clinicians may shadow and co-lead initial intakes with an experienced clinician before independently managing their own.
You will also receive:

✅ Advanced clinical, leadership, and compensation opportunities for independently licensed clinicians
Strong Referrals, Broad Experience
Our consistent referral flow is made possible by partnerships with MassHealth, Medicare, Medicaid, and major commercial insurance plans, as well as a broad network of community organizations.
Depending on your clinical interests and client needs, you may work with people referred through:
✅ Community-based nonprofit organizations and local service agencies
✅ Schools and educational programs
✅ Court-mandated programs and justice-system partners
✅ Nursing homes, older-adult programs, and long-term-care settings
✅ Shelters, supportive housing, and community-resource organizations
✅ Department of Children and Families (DCF) and foster-care-connected services
✅ Hospitals and behavioral-health programs following discharge, psychiatric hospitalization, or step-down care
This breadth of referral sources allows you to develop a meaningful clinical niche while gaining exposure to diverse populations, life stages, cultures, identities, and levels of need.
