Therapeutic Riding Instructor Jobs in Riverside, CA at Trax Equestrian Center
*We are currently looking for a part time instructor to work 3-4 lessons per week including Saturdays*
Responsibilities:
-Conducting therapeutic riding lessons for children and adults with special needs.
-Managing your own weekly schedule.
-Engaging with and managing volunteers.
-Tacking up lesson horses.
-Managing horses and clients during lessons.
-Creating individualized lesson plans.
-Tracking and managing lesson plans and client progress.
-Working with and caring for therapy horses.
– Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
– Developing lesson plans and curriculum that align with the goals of the program
– Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to parents/guardians
– Ensuring the safety of all participants during classes and activities
– Implementing behavior management strategies when necessary
Preferred Experience:
-Prior experience with horses required.
-Experience working with children preferred
-Experience working with individuals with disabilities highly preferred.
– Ability to effectively communicate and engage with students of different ages and skill levels
– Ability to adapt lessons and activities to meet the needs of individual students or groups
