Position Details
This position will perform professional work related to the City’s
Inclusive
Auburn initiatives. This position will require maintaining and coordinating existing programs that promote equity at the City and in the community. Additionally, this position will be an integral part of executing
community events
and programs to advance equitable access to the City’s programs and honor the many cultures of Auburn’s residents.
Work will be performed in a
dynamic environment
that requires sensitivity to change and responsiveness to evolving goals, priorities, and needs.
Note:
This is a temporary, non-benefited position working up to 25 hours per week.
Primary Duties
Assist and disseminates content for the Heritage Month emails and staff updates. Assists OEEO staff to respond to emails on behalf ofInclusiveAuburn and Neighborhood Programs
Assists with production of written content for print, broadcast and digital media to promotecommunity engagement.
Gather and input data as needed
Assists EEO Coordinator in scheduling and coordinating logistics for special events
Attendscommunity events
Assists with responses to grant applications for the Community Fund and Community Matching Grant.
Maintains and restocks Little Free Libraries
Perform related work as required
Minimum Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have:
One (1) year of successful work experience in program management or a related field Possess sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
One (1) year of experience with community-based programming
Must be able to work evenings and weekends in support of programs and events
Must be able to pass background check
Must possess a valid, current state driver’s license at the time of appointment

Possesseffective communicationskills and engage with the public, public officials, organizations, supervisors, and other employees, both in person and over the telephone, assisting them with a wide variety of information pertaining to City and department.
