Director of Technology & Innovation
Reports to: COO
Purpose: Lead GSI’s technology strategy, infrastructure, and innovation efforts across the organization.
Key Duties
● Set the vision and strategy for GSI’s technology, digital tools, and innovation initiatives
● Oversee IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, product development, and AI initiatives
● Guide technology investments and digital transformation across departments
● Manage and mentor the technology team
● Coordinate with other departments to align tech solutions with organizational needs
● Ensure data security, system reliability, and technology compliance
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s a plus)
● Strong leadership experience in technology, ideally in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
● Broad knowledge across IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, product, and emerging tech (AI)
● Experience managing a multidisciplinary technical team
IT Manager
Purpose: Oversee GSI’s day-to-day IT infrastructure and systems.
Key Duties
● Manage GSI’s IT systems, networks, and hardware/software infrastructure
● Provide technical support across departments
● Oversee system maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting
● Manage IT vendor relationships and procurement
● Ensure smooth technology operations across GSI’s regions
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
● Experience in IT management or systems administration
● Strong troubleshooting and infrastructure management skills
Cybersecurity Manager
Purpose: Protect GSI’s systems, data, and digital assets from security threats.
Key Duties
● Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and protocols
● Monitor systems for vulnerabilities, threats, and breaches
● Lead incident response and risk mitigation efforts
● Conduct security audits and staff training on best practices
● Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
● Experience in cybersecurity or information security management
● Knowledge of security frameworks, tools, and compliance standards
● Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) a plus
Product Manager
Purpose: Lead the development and management of GSI’s digital products and tools.
Key Duties
● Define product vision, roadmap, and priorities for GSI’s digital tools/platforms
● Coordinate with technical and non-technical teams to build and improve products
● Gather user/stakeholder feedback to guide product decisions
● Manage product timelines and delivery
● Ensure products support GSI’s programs and focus areas effectively
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field
● Experience in product management, ideally with digital tools/platforms
● Strong cross-functional collaboration and project management skills
AI Manager
Purpose: Lead GSI’s exploration and application of AI tools and technologies.
Key Duties
● Identify opportunities to apply AI across GSI’s programs and operations
● Oversee development or integration of AI-driven tools and solutions
● Ensure responsible and ethical use of AI within the organization
● Stay current on emerging AI trends relevant to GSI’s mission
● Train and support staff on AI tools and applications
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related field
● Experience with AI/ML tools and implementation
● Strong understanding of responsible AI practices
● Ability to translate AI capabilities into practical organizational use cases
Financial & HR Systems Specialist
Purpose: Manage and maintain the systems, software, and data infrastructure that power GSI’s financial and HR operations, ensuring both departments run on accurate, efficient, and well-integrated systems.
Key Duties
● Administer and maintain financial and HR software systems (e.g., accounting platforms, payroll, HRIS)
● Ensure data accuracy and integration between financial and HR systems
● Support system upgrades, troubleshooting, and user access management
● Train Finance and HR staff on system tools and workflows
● Generate system-based reports to support budgeting, payroll, and compliance needs
● Work with the Technology & Innovation team on system security, integrations, and IT support
● Identify opportunities to streamline financial and HR processes through better system use
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, HR, or related field
● Experience managing financial and/or HR software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, BambooHR, NetSuite)
● Strong technical and analytical skills
● Comfortable working across both Finance and HR functions
● Detail-oriented with strong data accuracy standards
Nice to Have
● Experience in nonprofit financial or HR systems
● Familiarity with system integrations and automation tools
Pay: $40.43 – $48.70 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 per week
