Full Job Description
Baron Academy is a non-profit private school for kids with unique and special needs.
We are looking for a reliable, patient, passionate and energetic individual to join our team to support our K-8 teaching staff throughout the school day for an opening starting in August for the 2025-2026 school year for a teacher aide position working with all levels of students with unique and special needs.
Special Education experience is preferred.
MUST pass level 2 background check and enjoy working with kids of ALL abilities.
MUST have previous experience in working directly with children.
MUST have reliable transportation and be on time for work.
Job responsibilities would include (but not limited to):
-Support the learning center environment.
-Helps with appropriate daily activities for children.
-Establishes and maintains a safe and healthy nurturing environment for children.
-Gives instruction to students and facilitates pre-planned activities in classroom.
-Keeps learning environments clean and orderly by picking up learning material, wiping chairs/tables, etc.
-Help fill in when substitute teacher is needed in other classes.
Job starts in August for the 2025-2026 school year.
Our school year calendar coincides with the St. Lucie County school calendar for breaks and holidays off.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-2pm
This is a PART-TIME hourly paid position.

Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
