Position Title: Teacher Trainer / Teacher / Technology Integrator

Overview: Tech My School (TMS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of learners by equipping schools with modern tools and ensuring best practices in classrooms. We serve schools in Puerto Rico and other under-resourced areas, providing comprehensive technology support and training. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Technology Integrator / Instructional Coach to join our team and support our mission to transform education through technology for the 2025-2026 school year.
Responsibilities:
1. Technology Integration:
Collaborate with school leadership to assess and analyze current technology integration using TMS’s 150-point checklist and ITA rubrics.
Develop and implement Individualized Technology Plans (ITPs) that align with the school’s educational goals and technology roadmap.
Support teachers in integrating technology into their curriculum to enhance instructional practices and student learning outcomes.
Ensure all classrooms are equipped with necessary technological tools and resources for effective teaching and learning.
2. Professional Development:
Design and deliver professional development sessions and workshops on educational technology tools and instructional strategies.
Provide one-on-one coaching and support to teachers to improve their technology skills and instructional practices.
Facilitate Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and Professional Learning Networks (PLNs) focused on technology integration and instructional improvement.
Develop and implement micro-credentialing programs to ensure staff proficiency in using educational technologies.
3. Technical Support and Maintenance:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for educational technologies and devices used in the classroom.
Coordinate with IT staff to ensure the smooth functioning and maintenance of hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
Implement and manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems to ensure secure and efficient use of devices.
4. Data Management and Analysis:
Utilize data analytics tools to track and analyze student performance and technology usage.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data to inform instructional practices and technology implementation.
Develop and maintain digital portfolios and technology reports to document progress and impact.
5. Communication and Collaboration:
Foster effective internal communication within the school through platforms like intranet, internal request forms, and professional email systems.
Engage with parents and the community through training sessions, digital citizenship programs, and technology showcases.
Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance the school’s technology infrastructure and resources.
6. Strategic Planning and Leadership:
Contribute to the strategic planning and visioning process for technology integration within the school.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in educational technology and share best practices with the school community.
Advocate for equitable access to technology and digital resources for all students and staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Proven experience in technology integration and instructional coaching in a K-12 educational setting.
Strong knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Student Information Systems (SIS), and other educational technologies.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to provide technical support and troubleshoot technology issues.
