Teach English to Immigrants and Refugees – Holgate Library (age 18+) Referral
Torus bridges gaps between people and communities by facilitating transformative experiences of language and culture exchange.
We offer free drop-in English classes for adult learners of English at sites across the Portland metro area. Our classes are high energy and multi-level, often featuring students from five or six different language backgrounds. As a teacher, our classes arechallenging, rewarding, and a lot of fun.
You don’t need any background as an ESOL teacher tojoin our team. Torus offerscomprehensive trainingfor aspiring teachers. We also need volunteers to help our classes run smoothly.

Volunteer sessions are Tuesday evenings from 6 to 7:30 pm, from January 21 through March 25, 2025. You can volunteer for any class during this term.
