Job Summary
The Swamper takes direction and performs duties with assigned drivers in order to ensure completion of a job or task safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Management serves the right to change or modify the functions of the job as required to meet the needs of the organization.
Works with ethics, honesty, values and integrity. Provides a position of professionalism to others.
Watches the truck at all times to avoid running into or over equipment on location.
Performs work on the ground while the assigned driver operates the truck.
Checks equipment to loaded for readiness and that all miscellaneous equipment attached to that load is secured for movement as conditions apply.
Ensures all required safety equipment is in the unit prior to performing job.
Helps secure the load correctly and safely.
Communicates with the driver and supervisor to understand what is needed for each job assignment.
Fosters a positive working relationship with co-workers, customers, clients and management.
Completes all safety and equipment related trainings required on a monthly basis.
Responsible for answering company issued cell phone during on call hours, in accordance with company and safety policies.
Any other duty, responsibility or task as assigned by the supervisor.
Experience
Previous experience as a Swamper or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
High School or GED equivalent
Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, clients and management.
Must be comfortable in an environment that is occasionally high stress.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Pay: $15.00 – $18.00 per hour
