Full Job Description
Shoreline Foundation, Inc. An established and growing Heavy Civil/Marine Construction company is seeking a high-quality and experienced Surveyor to support marine and coastal construction projects. Ideal candidates must have high ethical standards, be self-motivated, and have a desire to grow with the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform construction layout & as-built surveys by land and water for construction project/s.
Utilize GPS, total stations, levels, and other surveying equipment on a daily basis.
Assist in establishing and maintaining horizontal & vertical control points.
Interpret engineering and construction drawings to provide accurate survey layout and data.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field crews to deliver precise survey support throughout project phases.
Provide as-built data.
Perform quality control checks and ensure conformance with project specifications and tolerances.
Maintain field records, logs, and digital data collection files.
Operate in a marine environment including on or around water, barges, and cranes.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum five (5) years of experience in performing construction layout.
Proficient with survey instruments and software (GPS, total station, levels, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and site layouts.
Familiarity with pile layouts, structure alignment, and elevation verification.
Must be comfortable working around cranes, barges, and other heavy marine equipment.
Must be comfortable working near or over water.
Ability to work in rough terrain.
Must be able to adapt to extreme temperatures and outdoor site conditions.
When applicable, must be able to wear proper safety gear (PPE).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Must be available to travel.
AutoCAD a plus, but not a requirement

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Negotiated.
Pay Range: Low end starts at $75,000 per year, “commensurate based upon experience.”
