The Surgery Scheduler schedules all surgeries, communicate effectively and professionally with patients, visitors, physicians & co-workers.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Two or more years’ experience in surgery scheduling required
Comprehension of medical terminology and the insurance/healthcare industry required
Knowledge of ICD9 coding and insurance knowledge/experience preferred
Team oriented
Patient friendly
Takes on new responsibility as needed.
Reliable and self-starter
Good verbal and written communication skills with patients, physicians, and staff
Organized and very detail-oriented
Dependable
Computer and typing skills
