Summer Camp Counselor Jobs in Iowa City, IA at Harvest Preserve Foundation, Inc.
Harvest Adventure Camp is a 7-week summer day camp for children ages 8-12. Our program provides positive outdoor experiences in a safe, fun-filled setting. The part-time counselor position is for the hours of 12pm-4pm, M-F. Camp starts on June 26.
The camp counselor position provides the opportunity to:
– develop and implement appropriate summer camp programs.
– communicate, plan or implement skill learning sessions.
– develop and implement SEL curriculum.
– plan and implement all afternoon recreational activities.
– plan weekly award ceremonies for campers.
Preferred skills:
– excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
– camp or scouting experience
– CPR/First Aid certified
– interest in nature and camp experiences
– works effectively with others, especially children
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $12.00 – $13.00 per hour
Schedule:
4 hour shift
Monday to Friday
Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
Experience with Children: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
First Aid Certification (Preferred)
CPR Certification (Preferred)
