Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Outreach Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in fostering community relationships and promoting our organization’s mission through various outreach initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a commitment to educating the public about our programs while effectively managing volunteers and fundraising efforts.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage the community and raise awareness of our programs.
Lead volunteer management efforts, including recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers.
Educate community members about our services through workshops, presentations, and public speaking engagements.
Market our initiatives through various channels, including social media, community events, and partnerships with local organizations.
Coordinate fundraising activities to support program goals and enhance community involvement.
Collect and analyze data to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts and report on outcomes.
Provide administrative support related to outreach activities, including maintaining records and preparing reports.
Collaborate with social work professionals to identify community needs and tailor outreach efforts accordingly.
Qualifications
Proven leadership experience in community engagement or related fields.
Strong volunteer management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
Excellent public speaking abilities with experience in educating diverse audiences.
Familiarity with fundraising strategies and techniques is preferred.
Proficient in data collection methods and analysis for program evaluation.
Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Background in social work or related disciplines is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
