Job Title: Part-Time Managing Director (Contractor)
Location: Loudoun County, VA (Remote with some in-person meetings and events)
Hours: 15 to 20 hours per week
Compensation: P-time salary (1099 contractor)

Role Overview

The Managing Director will oversee daily operations, strategic growth, fundraising, and community engagement while working closely with the Board of Directors and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy: Drive organizational goals, develop partnerships, and ensure mission alignment.
Program Oversight: Manage initiatives in youth mentorship, workforce development, and community enrichment.
Fundraising & Grants: Identify funding opportunities, lead grant writing, and support donor relations.
Volunteer & Stakeholder Engagement: Recruit volunteers, foster relationships with member organizations, and expand outreach.
Operations & Administration: Oversee budget coordination, reporting, and digital communications.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, public administration, or related field (master’s preferred).
5+ years in nonprofit leadership, program management, or related roles.
Proven success in fundraising, grant writing, and donor cultivation.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Experience working with diverse communities and digital engagement tools.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of workforce development, educational programming, and community organizing.
Familiarity with underserved populations in the DC Metro area.
