About International Center for Research on Women

Strategic Operations Consultant

International Center for Research on Women (ICRW)

Location of Work: Remote

Time Period: April 2025-June 2025

Amount of Time: Approximately 25 Days

Background

The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) is a nearly 50-year-old nonprofit institution with a mission to advance rights and opportunities for women, girls, and structurally excluded populations with actional evidence and solutions. For most of its history ICRW has been headquartered in the US, with regional offices in Asia and Africa. In 2022 ICRW committed to transforming its structure and culture to become a decentralized organization. Over the last three years we have made significant progress in solidifying the vision for the structure of the new organization and shifting operations and culture. We are now ready to finalize the governance structures and operational shifts to align with the vision.

The vision for our new structure is that ICRW will become a global Network, comprised of “Network Members” (decentralized regional entities) – ICRW Africa, ICRW Americas, and ICRW Asia. Each Network Member will have equitable authority and will be governed by independent Boards of Directors that have fiduciary oversight over the entity in their jurisdiction. Each Network Member will be aligned with ICRW’s overall mission, vision, strategy, and global standards. The Network Members will be supported by a lean Global Coordinating Unit and will be guided by a Global Advisory Board.
