Fay-Penn, incorporated in 1991, assists in the economic development revitalization efforts in Fayette County, PA. We are a nonprofit under Section 501(c)3 of the IRS and the CEDO for the county. We are committed to providing comprehensive business development services to make our clients more competitive in a global marketplace. We strive to create a supportive environment for business start-up, expansion and attraction by implementing programs to: Retain and grow existing businesses; Attract new businesses; Create and retain jobs; Develop the workforce; Generate private and public business investment; Enhance quality of life amenities and services. We are located in Southwestern Pennsylvania and known for Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, Ohiopyle State Park, and Nemacolin Resort.
Member Duties : Be part of a transformative regional tourism initiative in the landscape of northern Appalachia! This VISTA will assist the development and coordination of Partnerships for Appalachian Trails & Heritage (PATH) program, designed to assist businesses and communities along the trail system. Applicant should be a self-starter and independent thinker eager to jump in and lend their knowledge when needed. Works with regional tourism organizations to develop branding and marketing plan for PATH and implement ideas. Collaborate with residents, community leaders, and business owners about their specific needs to execute PATH programs. Assist in identifying tourism workforce issues and solutions for local business owners. Beautiful, rural mountain areas serve as your workspace. The PATH program proposes the creation of a dedicated tourism assistance program to foster entrepreneurial opportunities and economic development through revolving loan funds with low-interest loans for small businesses.
