Morani.com Company Limited is expanding its impact through two key projects: Alpha Homes and Orionigas.
Alpha Homes is a digital platform that simplifies the rental process by directly connecting property owners with tenants for apartments, rooms, and office spaces across Tanzania. It focuses on accessibility, transparency, and user convenience.
Orionigas is a clean energy initiative that enables users to order cooking gas online, promoting the adoption of clean energy solutions and increasing the use of sustainable energy.
Role Description
This is a temporary, remote-based role for a Startup Consultant / Fundraising Advisor. The successful candidate will lead efforts to secure external funding and strategic financial support to commercialize and expand both the Alpha Homes platform and the Orionigas initiative.
Key responsibilities include:
• Designing and executing fundraising strategies tailored to early-stage ventures in proptech and clean energy.
• Conducting prospect research to identify suitable investors, grant bodies, and partners.
• Preparing compelling pitch materials, including investor decks and funding proposals.
• Facilitating introductions, relationship-building, and communications with prospective donors, angels, and VCs.
• Advising on capital structure, fundraising timelines, and negotiation support.
Qualifications
• Demonstrated experience in fundraising, venture financing, and startup consulting.
• Track record in philanthropy, grant writing, planned giving, or investor relations.
• Strong strategic planning, research, and storytelling skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work independently and deliver results remotely.
• Previous experience advising early-stage or emerging-market startups is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the Tanzanian or broader East African market is a strong advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
