Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Staff Accountant at Avivo, based in Minneapolis, MN, with some work-from-home flexibility. As a Staff Accountant, you will be a vital contributor to Avivo’s financial integrity and success. You’ll manage key accounting functions, such as preparing reconciliations, overseeing balance sheets, and leading month-end closing activities. Beyond ensuring compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to create efficiencies, challenge processes, and promote financial excellence.

Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Management (or an associate degree with 2+ years of experience).
At least 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, including general ledger, reconciliations, and accounts receivable/payable.
Proficiency in GAAP, month-end close processes, and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPS).
A solution-oriented mindset with critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to interact with diverse teams and program participants.
