Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in St. Paul, MN, for a Senior Major and Planned Giving Officer. The individual in this position will manage a portfolio of major and planned gift prospects to secure significant philanthropic contributions in support of the university’s mission. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining donor relationships, creating tailored giving strategies, making presentations, and collaborating with internal teams to achieve fundraising goals. The role involves regular communication with donors, traveling for in-person meetings, overseeing a small team of gift officers, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fundraising, major gifts, or planned giving within a nonprofit or educational institution setting.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong strategic planning and project management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver compelling presentations and donor proposals.
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices and donor cultivation techniques.
- Proficiency with donor databases, CRM systems, and other fundraising tools.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a commitment to meeting fundraising goals.
