The Foundation at Children’s National Hospital is seeking a Sr. Associate Director, Planned Giving to join our dynamic team. This hybrid position requires employees to work from the office one day per week and conduct donor and prospect visits as needed. As part of a successful planned giving program that has raised nearly $100 million over the past decade, the Sr.
Associate Director will manage a portfolio of passionate donors, including grateful parents and community members committed to supporting Children’s National. The Senior Associate Director, Planned Giving will work closely with the Senior Director, Gift Planning to support all aspects of the planned giving program, including strategy development, donor engagement, and collaboration with other gift teams to maximize giving opportunities.
The role involves managing a portfolio of current and prospective donors, focusing on cultivating, soliciting, and closing planned gifts. Responsibilities include qualifying leads, responding to inquiries with estate planning education, and preparing gift proposals for donors and advisors.
This position also entails conducting donor visits, outreach, and staying informed on hospital initiatives, charitable laws, and events to provide expert guidance. The annual fundraising goal for this role is $2-$3 million.
