Position Overview:
Strides in Recovery is seeking a results-driven and personable Sponsorship Coordinator to lead outreach efforts for the Palos Verdes Trails 5K, a signature fundraising event supporting individuals in addiction recovery. This individual will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing event sponsors that align with our mission and values.
Hours/Timeframe:
A minimum of 10 hours/week from now through September 28, 2025
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect & Outreach
Identify potential sponsors aligned with health, wellness, community service, and recovery.
Research local and regional businesses with event sponsorship histories.
Initiate contact through calls, emails, networking events, and personal meetings
Clearly articulate sponsorship benefits (e.g., brand visibility, community impact, employee engagement opportunities)
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with the event planning team to align sponsor needs with event logistics.
Provide regular updates on sponsorship progress.
Administrative
Track all outreach, follow-ups, agreements, and deliverables.
Maintain accurate records in sponsorship CRM or tracking system.
Qualifications:
Proven success securing event sponsorships or fundraising partnerships.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable initiating contact and building relationships with new people.
Passion for wellness, recovery, or community-based events is a plus.
Prior experience in nonprofits, endurance events, or brand partnerships preferred.

Pay:
This opportunity is 100% commission based. You would earn 15% of all sponsorship revenue or in kind support you bring in.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: Up to $3,000.00 per month
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
