Join Our Team: Passionate Social Media Coordinator Wanted! If you thrive in a mission-driven environment fueling global entrepreneurship, this opportunity is for you. As a key member of our team, you will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a constant stream of programs, resources, and research to share with our ever-expanding community of entrepreneurs.
You will play an important role in executing digital and social media activities aimed at engaging our existing community, amplifying the leadership of our sponsors, and attracting new entrepreneurs and funders. We are looking for someone who is genuinely enthusiastic about social media, curious about data, and ready to roll up their sleeves to build, test, and refine digital strategies that move our mission forward.
This is an early career role designed to grow with you. The ideal candidate brings creative energy, strong attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn in a dynamic nonprofit environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Center's social media channels proactively and reactively, developing and executing content that supports our mission and maintains a cohesive brand narrative.
- Generate, edit, publish, curate, and share daily content across platforms, including original posts and curated content from thought leaders and partners.
- Create and maintain a multi-channel content calendar that supports the Center's programs, events, research, and campaigns.
- Support the development and execution of measurable social media campaigns with a focus on driving program applications and audience engagement.
- Build learning systems to understand what resonates with different stakeholder groups, and bring insights back to the team.
- Create content tailored to sponsors and funders, serving as a partner in amplifying their thought leadership, expertise, and resources.
- Monitor social media trends and platform updates, flagging relevant opportunities and contributing ideas for how the team can participate in meaningful conversations.
- Collaborate on measurement frameworks and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of social media efforts.
- Support Summit and virtual event promotion, including pre-event content, live coverage, and post-event storytelling.
Qualifications
- 3+ or more years of hands-on experience in social media marketing, content creation, or a related field (internship experience counts).
- Genuine enthusiasm for social media platforms and active engagement on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook. Social media is a natural extension of your interests, not just a job function.
- Creative, strategic, and analytical thinker with a knack for crafting engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of taking ownership of projects from start to finish, with strong time management and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and voice for different audiences and platforms.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to maintain composure under pressure. A sense of humor helps.
- Genuine passion for entrepreneurship and a desire to contribute to expanding access and opportunity for underrepresented founders.
Tools & Technology
The following tools are central to this role. Familiarity with any is a plus; willingness to learn all is required.
- HubSpot: Our social and email marketing and CRM platform. You will use HubSpot to support social campaigns, track audience engagement, and maintain contact lists. Prior experience is a plus; training will be provided.
- Canva: Primary design tool for creating social graphics, event assets, and branded content. Comfort with templates and basic design principles is expected.
- Slack: Our internal communications platform. You will use Slack daily for team coordination, project updates, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Microsoft Outlook & Teams: Standard tools for email, calendar management, and virtual meetings. Proficiency expected.
- Mighty Networks: The Center's founder community platform. You will help maintain and amplify community activity, cross-posting relevant content and supporting member engagement.
