Position *
We are seeking a passionate, brilliant, andinnovativeSocial Media Manager tojoin our teampart-time. In this role, you will develop and implement strategies to expand our social media presence, engage our community, and inspire action. This is anexcitingopportunity to make a meaningful impact while working in a flexible,collaborative environment.
Key *
Develop and execute adynamicsocial media strategy to support our mission, goals, and campaigns.
Create, curate, and schedule engaging, high-quality content across platforms (e.g., Instagram, X, Facebook, Linked In, Tik Tok).
Manage social media calendars, monitor trends, and stay updated on platform changes and best practices.
Engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions, fostering a vibrant online community.
Collaborate with the team to highlight our programs, events, and initiatives in creative and compelling ways.
Analyze social media performance metrics and adjust strategies to maximize growth and engagement.
Stay informed about environmental and scientific issues to craft relevant,impactfulmessaging.

Proven experience managing social media accounts, preferably in a nonprofit or environmental/science-related field.
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
Passion for environmental conservation, science, and making a difference.
Creative mindset with an eye for visuals and design (experience with Canva or similar tools is a plus).
Proficiency in social media platforms, analytics tools, and scheduling software (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite).
Self-starter with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team.
Resides in or near San Diego, CA, withflexibilityfor occasional in-person meetings or events.
