Job Overview
The Snow and Wake Program Manager is responsible for leading the spiritual development of snowboarders and skiers throughout the winter and wake athletes during the summer. This position focuses on discipleship, mentoring, and building a strong sense of community through a variety of activities like small group Bible studies, athlete development, outreach events, and snow/wake sessions. The Snow and Wake Program Manager will also manage and train snow and wake staff, coaches, and volunteers.
This is a key role that oversees every aspect of the snow/wake ministry of JSAW to make riders into disciples.

$40,000-$60,000 (Depending On Qualifications) Full Time
Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee the disciple-making process for snow/wake riders, integrating faith development and wake/snowboarding.
Create Bible study content alongside the Skate Program Manager, ensuring practical and relatable spiritual lessons.
Oversee small groups for wake and snow, providing a safe and encouraging space for riders to grow in their faith.
Mentor riders, focusing on spiritual guidance and life application.
Plan and execute outreach events such as Cocoa and Wax, contests, and community gatherings to impact snow/wake riders.
Build relationships with riders and families, creating pathways for deeper involvement in the disciple-making program.
Plan a dream trip annually for riders, combining snow/wake riding with spiritual growth experiences.
Oversee athlete development including snow/wake coaching, classes, and camps, focusing on both skill progression and character development.
Recruit, train, and manage part-time paid snow/wake coaches and snow/wake volunteer leaders, ensuring alignment with program goals and JSAW’s mission.
Provide ongoing training and development for snow/wake staff and volunteers to equip them as both coaches and spiritual mentors.
Foster a supportive team culture that prioritizes excellence in coaching and discipleship.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Program Management, Youth Ministry, or a related field.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Extensive experience in snowboarding, wakeboarding, or similar action sports.
Passion for serving others and sharing Christ’s message.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience working with youth or young adults in a recreational or ministry setting.
Knowledge of safety regulations and risk management in action sports.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
