SMS Director The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee seeks an SMS Director to lead a large and growing SMS fundraising program. This person will be an integral part of our Online Fundraising Team. If you have experience running an SMS fundraising program and want to play an integral role in strengthening an SMS program for a national committee, and help flip the Senate majority in the process, you will find a great home on our team.
Responsibilities:
Maintain the Broadcast and P2P SMS calendars in coordination with the Director of Digital Fundraising. Supervise and support the development of SMS fundraising program staff. Manage SMS program, including setting the editorial direction of the program, using a data-driven approach to maximize engagement and revenue. Coordinate P2P SMS sends with external vendor(s). Oversee the drafting, editing, and vetting of all SMS content.
Track SMS-related invoices. Coordinate with other vertical leads to ensure consistent cross-channel messaging. Implement tactics that are seeing success over email and ads in SMS copy. Execute special projects related to maximizing revenue from the SMS fundraising program.
Qualifications:
Proven track record
of success in SMS fundraising with a political campaign, a political organization, or a firm. Exceptional writing and proofing skills with strong
attention to detail
A keen eye for detail and organizational skills. You’ll know how to get content through an approvals process, but ensure that the content will still be successful for fundraising purposes. Prior staff management experience is a plus for this role.
The salary for this role is $110,000.
