Job Summary:
This position serves community dining for seniors, including preparing meals from bulk and packaging home-delivered meals for delivery. The incumbent will represent Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota (LSS) as the provider of this service, acting as the first point of contact for customer relations, following up on concerns, and fostering a supportive community environment. Responsibilities include online data entry through Lutheran Social Services programs, engaging with diners and volunteers to promote a welcoming atmosphere, coordinating meal deliveries via volunteer scheduling, and occasionally delivering meals in person (mileage reimbursement available).
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience with basic computer applications preferred.
Ability to read and follow verbal instructions.
Six months to one year of full-time experience in group leadership activities, working with older adults in a host/hostess role, or comparable food service experience.
Creativity and knowledge of public relations to promote a positive image of the agency.
Valid driver’s license required.
Willingness to grow and adapt with program needs and requirements.
