About The Job
SHE-CAN is seeking a short-term 4-month W-2 position, with potential to be hired on a long-term basis once the short-term program is completed. This person will work closely with the Development team to manage donor engagement for our gala, provide support on grants, and donor presentations and other fundraising tasks and events.
SHE-CAN (Supporting Her Education Changes A Nation) is a global non-profit organization that builds female global leadership in post-conflict countries. We help passionate young leaders win scholarships to U.S. colleges and universities, provide them with leadership training, and pair them with U.S. mentor teams who help them thrive in college and launch change-agent careers at home. To date, we have helped 136 young women from Rwanda, Cambodia, Liberia, and Guatemala win $40M+ in full scholarships at top U.S. colleges. You will be part of a growing and dynamic team that will produce some of the world’s next great female leaders and change agents.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in drafting a broad range of materials for current and prospective donors
Spearhead and manage all outreach, and material collecting for current and prospective donors for the SHE-CAN Gala on September 27, 2025
Support team in executing the gala
Work with the team on grant identification and application process
Administer the Development Department’s usage of Salesforce to track donor correspondence, donor relationship activity and keep background information up-to-date and actionable
Generate and manage revenue estimates and donor reports.
Ideal Candidate:
Numbers Oriented: Adept at working with numerical data, spreadsheets and tables
Savvy writer: Skilled at crafting messages for donor outreach in emails and social media.
Salesforce or CRM Savvy: CRM experience is required, and ideal candidate is experienced and comfortable with Salesforce/CRM data management
Detail Oriented: Extremely organized when creating reports, donation totals, email drafts, and other materials
Eager to Manage own Tasks: Self-starting, entrepreneurial and creative, with ability to recognize opportunities and communicate goals and objectives clearly
Multi-Tasker: Thrives in a fast-paced environment

Benefits and Compensation
Hours: This is a 4 month, 40-hour-a-week, salaried position, Monday-Friday, 9:30-5:30. Applicants should plan on 5 days a week in the office, but flexibility on Mondays and Fridays may be possible at the beginning of this time period. Note: The in-person aspect of this job is non-negotiable and is essential for effective collaboration. Candidates must live in the San Francisco Bay Area within a reasonable commute time of our office. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required, but we strive to keep this to a minimum.
Compensation: The salary for this position ranges from $69,000 – $75,000 annually, prorated for the four months, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
