GL is one of the partner organizations implementing a national programme Promotion of Social Cohesion and Prevention of Collective Violence aimed at strengthening community-centric violence mitigation and conflict management; and to contribute towards strengthening social cohesion.
Governance and Livelihoods Agenda is seeking to employ a Senior Project officer to be based in Ethekwini, Kwa Zulu-Natal Province.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent for the position must be someone who
Has a clear track record in community facilitation, community development, conflict resolution and youth development.
Has the ability to plan and execute project plans independently.
Has a strong work ethic, is proactive and takes initiative
Ability to work within a multi-cultural team.
Is highly energetic, sociable and approachable
and as a high level of emotional maturity
REQUIREMENTS:
A university degree in the Social Sciences, Conflict Management and Development or any other related qualification with 5 years’ experience.
Demonstrable experience on community facilitation and conflict management
Demonstrable interest in community development work
High level of computer literacy
Ability to write reports of high quality
Must be an iSiZulu speaker.
