2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Program Manager will lead complex workstreams aimed at transforming the delivery of public benefits within government systems. This role is central to driving organizational impact by managing strategic program and project initiatives, fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholders, and advancing systemic change. The position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure effective execution, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with the organization”s mission.
3. Responsibilities:
• Manage and execute complex program workstreams with attention to detail and strategic oversight.
• Collaborate with government agencies, community organizations, and internal teams to translate priorities into actionable plans.
• Define and track meaningful metrics to assess project success and support data-driven decisions.
• Identify and address roadblocks, escalating issues when necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policy and process context.
• Promote best practices within workstreams and share learnings across teams.
• Recognize and communicate risks, opportunities, and tradeoffs to leadership.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in areas such as tax benefits, safety net programs, criminal record clearance, partnership management, product and design, or client and community outreach.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships to support program goals and systems change.
• Support product and design teams by providing insight on policy alignment and stakeholder needs.
• Engage in outreach to expand program reach and effectiveness.
• Represent the program at national events and meetings, with up to 15% travel.
• Present findings and advocate for policy changes internally and externally.
4. Requirements:
• Proven experience in program and project management, preferably in government or nonprofit sectors.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous and fast-changing environments.
• Expertise in at least one specialty area relevant to public benefits or program delivery.
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational capabilities.
• Authorization to work full-time within the United States.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
