New opening for an experienced Senior Policy Manager to be part of an eight-person Policy team within a growing technology company. You will create, implement and write policy around many of the hot topics that are shaping our world today ie: AI ethics, hate speech, misinformation, politics, etc… This is a cross-functional position working with multiple teams to ensure our Trust & Safety procedures are aligned with industry best practices. We are working to help make the online world a safer place.
Summary:
Be part of a talented policy team that creates, develops and implements online policies.
Content Policy writing: hate speech, violence, political, misinformation, disinformation, fake news, crime, etc..
Experience taking policy products from initial strategy to framework design to full product launch.
Be able to identify emerging trends and classify those trends for both internal and external audiences.
Work closely with product and legal teams on the creation and implementation of policy with the goal of ensuring Trust and safety procedures are aligned with industry best practices.
Experience must have:
4+ years experience in policy.
Experience creating and designing content policy.
Experience in content moderation, classification.
Excellent communication, writing and analytical skills.
Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Nice to have:
Law or Legal background / experience. Having worked at a Law firm is a huge plus.
NGO nonprofit experience.
Content curation or online moderation.
Responsible AI research.
Social media or online content experience.
Experience leading team and/or people management.
Education:
Bachelors or Master’s in Public Policy, Journalism, Legal, Anthropology, Sociology, Communications, or related field.
