Senior Payroll SpecialistEFCAMinneapolis, MNFull job descriptionTheEFCA national officeis seeking a full-timeSenior Payroll Accountantto manage the EFCA payroll processes within established deadlines and policies, and ensure compliance with applicable payroll, tax, and employment requirements.Start Date: ASAPHours Per Week: 40Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life, AD&D, STD, LTD, 403b match, Paid Holidays, Paid Time OffDuties:
Manage all aspects of processing multi-state payrolls for EFCA employees.
Process new hires and terminations for ReachGlobal missionary personnel and follow up with appropriate ReachGlobal staff as needed to ensure information is accurate and complete.
Produce accurate and timely processing of all payrolls.
Research, resolve, and communicate complex payroll issues; respond to inquiries from employees and personnel involved with the human resources and payroll functions.
Oversee all payroll reporting requirements.
Assist with the annual financial statement audit by preparing the necessary work papers. Coordinate the annual workers compensation audit.
Prepare monthly reconciliation and journal entries related to payroll accounts.
Maintain payroll files ensuring that access is restricted to appropriate personnel.
Provide ongoing training to Accounting Assistant to ensure readiness for back-up duties.
Skills and Education Requirements:
Alignment with and commitment to the mission and values of the EFCA
Associate’s degree in business; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Five years of full-cycle payroll experience; knowledge of clergy and/or international payroll issues a plus.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) credential preferred.
Experience with ADP WorkforceNow and UKG Ready strongly preferred.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
Outstanding customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to spend more than 50% of work time using a keyboard and a computer.
