First Christian Church-Titusville is a Spirit-filled, friendly, and loving church family committed to sharing the love of our savior Jesus Christ with our community and throughout the world. We are located in Titusville, Florida, a growing community on Florida’s Space Coast. We are searching for a faith-filled and dedicated Senior Pastor to lead our growing congregation in ministering to the communities of Titusville, Mims, Oakhill, and Scotsmoor, Florida.
The selected candidate will lead a congregation of 200+ and will possess strong leadership skills, be an excellent communicator, and most importantly possess a deep love for Jesus Christ and the congregation he will lead.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregation, fostering a culture of faith, love and service.
Develop and deliver engaging, biblically-based weekly sermons.
Plan and lead services collaborating with the worship team to ensure the service lifts up praise to our Lord and lifts up the congregation.
Facilitate spiritual growth and discipleship throughout the congregation.
Work with the elders and staff to execute the vision and strategic plan of the church, to grow and foster leadership development.
Engage with the community and community leadership to address community needs.
Oversee the administration and management of the church operations.
Mentor and supervise the church staff.
Perform pastor duties such as weddings, funerals, baptisms, and visiting the sick and homebound.
Qualifications:
Deep commitment to Jesus Christ.
Bachelor’s Degree from a college associated with the Independent Christian churches/churches of Christ – MDIV Degree is preferred.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Preacher/Pastor or equivalent.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to reach a diverse congregation.
A deep understanding and love of the Bible, sharing that love through preaching and teaching.
Must have proven organizational and leadership skills.
Able to work with the elders to develop new Elder and Deacon candidates.
Must have an understanding of social media.
