What the role is:
Assists Assistant Directors (Youth & Sports) in the efficient and effective management of the Division which includes:
Building its expertise in the area of youth and community sports development and engagement.
Facilitating the development of the local Community Sports Networks (CSNs) across 93 Constituencies to enable them to effectively reach out and bond youth and residents.
Strengthening the network and capabilities of the youth and community sports communities.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Assists Assistant Directors (Youth & Sports) in ensuring the smooth operation of the Division.
Monitors, evaluates, and reports work plans and strategies of the Division and recommends improvements or changes that will optimise the use of available resources.
Reviews and suggests plans and strategies to meet the objectives of the Division and ensure that they are relevant to current population and sports trends.
Implements the programmes, projects, and initiatives and strengthens engagement with key stakeholders.
Coordinates and executes marketing activities to raise awareness of community sports initiatives.
Engages key stakeholders and identifies mutually beneficial collaborations to extend the outreach and deepen engagement with various community sports communities.
Facilitates the development of various micro community sports communities to enable them to effectively reach out and bond youth and residents.
Other ad-hoc duties:
Represents the Youth & Sports Division in cross-PA division projects and committees.
Performs other duties assigned by senior officers.
Knowledge & Skills:
Minimum:
Significant extracurricular involvement and/or
leadership
.
Desired:
Experience with
Grassroots Organisations and managing programmes and projects with Youths.
Good interpersonal skills.
Enjoys working with youths.
Able to work for long hours and during weekends.
Competent in the use of social media to engage youths.
Able to work independently and as a team member.
Self-motivated and goal-getter.
Creative and
forward-thinking
