Job Purpose
Reporting into the People & Culture team, the Senior Manager, Volunteer Resources will be a key player in advancing the organization’s strategic plan, developing a culture of volunteerism at Habitat GTA and ensuring a quality experience for all volunteers. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, the Senior Manager will be directly responsible for achieving volunteer targets through outreach and retention strategies. This role will be pivotal in shaping and managing the entire volunteer journey, from initial engagement to ongoing involvement andrecognition.
Additionally, the Senior Manager will implement systems to track volunteer contributions and feedback, continuously improving the volunteer experience.
Job Duties
Represent Habitat for Humanity GTA as aBrand Ambassadorby modeling our values and guiding principles.
Learn, understand and participate in the Health and Safety Program.
Strategic Planning:Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align volunteer programs with the organization’s strategic goals.
Volunteer Recruitment:Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract adiversepool of volunteers.Lead the teamin researching, identifying, and cultivating relationships with schools, community groups and organizations to expand the volunteer pool.
Volunteer Engagement:Foster a positive andinclusiveenvironment that encourages volunteer participation and retention. Develop strong relationships within the community to foster a positive image and make the organization the volunteer organization of choice. Partnering with stakeholders and provide relevant resources and training to ensure engagement happens during their volunteering.
Assess Performance:Monitor and evaluate volunteer performance, providing feedback andrecognitionto ensure a rewarding volunteer experience. Lead the creation and delivery of new andinnovativeprograms to increase awareness of the organization in the community.
Data Management:Support the team to ensure accurate records of volunteer activities and contributions, utilizing data to inform program improvements. Utilize the Raiser’s Edge database …
