Through council-sponsored events, camps, and hands-on experiences, girls build skills, make lifelong friends, and create unforgettable memories during their most formative years. Our volunteers/adult members play an essential and rewarding role in facilitating these opportunities for girls – helping them grow, learn, and positively impact their communities.
We’re seeking an organized and innovative Senior Girl Experience Manager to execute our Entrepreneurship and Product Programs across the Dakota Horizons Council. In this leadership role, you’ll contribute to the council wide strategies and execute annual programs such as Girl Scout Cookie University, Cookie Program (our largest annual program where girls run their very own cookie business), the fall product program, as well as lead programs in the entrepreneurship pillar for our members. Using your project management, sales and marketing mindset, you’ll ensure our volunteer members and girl members are set up for success as they dive into the world of cookie and product sales, and gain valuable business skills! This offers a highly collaborative and impactful opportunity for the Dakota Horizons council, and all of the members within it!
What You’ll Do
- Lead, plan, and implement council-wide initiatives related to Product Programs- Cookie University, annual cookie sales, and annual product programs for example.
- Build strong partnerships between Marketing and Communications, Member Engagement Managers, Girl Experience team, and external community partners to align efforts for successful programs.
- Enhance community partnerships and presence with a focus in creating development opportunities for members in our entrepreneurship pillar- teaching members valuable business and entrepreneurship skills!
- Identify and deliver effective training programs that prepare staff and volunteers for success.
- Analyze data and trends to improve program efficiency, effectiveness, and member experience including member reward programs to incentivize program growth.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
- At least 3 years of successful operations, project management experience, volunteer programming leadership, or program operations; PMP certification preferred.
- Previously program and people leadership experience required.
- Genuine passion and enthusiasm for the Girl Scout mission.
- Strong communication and training skills with the ability to inspire action and drive results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce or similar CRM experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to periodically travel within the Midwest.

- $52,000 – $55,000 annually, DOE

Schedule & Work Environment
- Flexible Scheduling available within our core business hours
- Monday – Thursday 7am – 6pm
- Friday – Offices closed in the afternoon
- Hybrid work environment (3 days in office, 2 days work from home)
- Occasional evening and rarely weekend and overnight travel required across North and South Dakota for program delivery needs.
