We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior General Manager – IT to lead and oversee all aspects of our IT operations. This role is responsible for shaping the IT vision, strategy, and execution to drive innovation, efficiency, security, and business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, security, digital transformation, enterprise applications, and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy in alignment with organizational objectives.

• Oversee IT governance, policies, and best practices to ensure efficiency, security, and compliance.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to drive digital transformation and business intelligence initiatives.

• Ensure the stability, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, data centers, and cloud environments.

• Oversee IT service management (ITSM) processes to ensure high availability and performance.

• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning to minimize downtime and data loss.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, data protection laws, and IT security standards.

• Conduct risk assessments and implement proactive measures to mitigate IT threats.

• Manage and oversee all enterprise applications used by Alkhidmat Foundation, ensuring their efficiency and seamless integration.

• Oversee software development, system integrations, and data analytics initiatives.

• Drive automation, AI, and machine learning initiatives to enhance productivity and decision-making.

• Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and ROI on IT investments

• Spearhead the development and implementation of IT innovation labs and pilot projects.

• Define KPIs and OKRs to measure IT performance and align outcomes with business success.

• Foster a culture of cybersecurity awareness and continuous improvement across the organization.

• Evaluate and onboard new technologies that support NGO-specific use cases, including donor systems

and field operation tools.

• Collaborate with Finance and HR to streamline internal systems and reduce process inefficiencies.

• Lead data governance programs, ensuring data quality, access control, and compliance with

Organizational policies.

 

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong candidate with a Bachelor’s degree and 10 Years of field experience are encouraged to apply.

• 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with a proven track record in strategic IT management.

• Expertise in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and cloud technologies.

• Strong knowledge of networking (Cisco, Fortinet), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and database

management (SQL, Oracle).

• Experience in managing digital transformation projects, including AI, cloud computing, and DevOps.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ITIL, PMP, or cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

are highly desirable.

• Experience working in nonprofit, NGO, or mission-driven organizations.

• Familiarity with grant-funded IT programs and compliance tracking.

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills for hardware/software procurement.

• Ability to manage geographically dispersed teams and IT operations across multiple branches.

• Agile and change management experience to support fast-paced IT modernization.
