TITLE: Senior Coordinator, Volunteer Programs
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Senior Director, Advocacy and Programs
JOB LOCATION: Chicago, IL. At least one day per week in the Chicago office, with the option for other days to be worked remotely.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional travel to support groups, events, and conferences.
Job Description
As the Foundation’s Senior Coordinator for Volunteer Programs, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing various programs and initiatives aimed at volunteer engagement and support. Your duties will include managing support networks, ambassador programs, advocacy efforts, and coordinating volunteer activities and events.
Key Responsibilities
PFF Support Group Leader Network
Maintain and develop relationships with volunteer support group leaders, including participating in meetings and acting as a primary contact.
Develop content for quarterly teleconferences and eNewsletters.
Coordinate marketing and promotion of the Support Group Leader Network.
Support facilitation and coordination of virtual support groups.
Manage data collection and generate reports as needed.
PFF Ambassador Program
Maintain and develop relationships with volunteer ambassadors.
Coordinate attendance at events and develop content for monthly teleconferences and communications.
Manage marketing and promotion of the ambassador program.
Organize training, onboarding, and annual recruitment processes for ambassadors.
PFF Advocacy
Support engagement of advocacy volunteers through action alerts, communications, and opportunities.
Maintain accurate data and reporting on grassroots engagement.
Review communication materials for grassroots outreach.
Other Responsibilities
Manage schedules for volunteer events, training, and engagements.
Coordinate shipping of educational materials.
Assist with Help Center coverage and volunteer engagement at key events like Hill Day, Summit, and Education Symposium.
Contribute to program development and promotion for various events and stakeholder opportunities.
Collaborate closely with the Senior Director to fulfill the Foundation’s mission.
Maintain positive team relationships and adhere to organizational policies.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required.
2-4 years of experience in program development within a nonprofit preferred.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong self-management, creativity, energy, and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
